Headteachers End of Spring Term Letter

Posted in: News Archive

Each time I write that the snow has passed and Spring is on the way, I seem to trigger a period of cold weather, so I won’t mention it…

I am sorry the school had to close due to snow and hope you were not too negatively impacted upon through additional childcare.  Any feedback with respect to our procedures and communications will be received gratefully and help us meet your needs better.

The Exams season is fast approaching and will ‘kick in’ in earnest soon after Easter.  The school has a full Easter revision programme planned over the first week of the holidays, the timetable of which is on the website.  All Year 11 students have been given the details and we hope for a strong response from our students.

The predictions for the school this year show another period of progress and raised standards.  Last year was our highest exam results ever and this year we will achieve even higher.  This success is down to the strong supportive relationships between the school, the family and the students and I thank you for your continued support.

It is at this time that some of our Year 11 and Year 10 students start to exhibit and feel stress, related to the forthcoming terminal examinations.  Please contact the school either through their Mentor, Ms Keating or Head of House, if you feel you need any support or advice at what can be a very difficult and challenging time.

Thank you for your support.

Mr Haydn Stride
