Sussex University, in conjunction with Longhill Science Department, will be at Longhill on Saturday 25th February running a series of fantastic Science Workshops!
Longhill Science department has been offering a Saturday Science Club for Year 5 & 6 primary children in the Autumn term for several years. The sessions have been very popular so we limit numbers. By teaming up with Sussex University and the Brighton Science Festival we are able to offer more places than ever before.
This is a chance to do some science in our well-equipped science labs. You will learn a bit of science and really build up your confidence and enthusiasm about the move to secondary school. The workshops are open to anyone in years 4, 5 and 6.
We are running lots of different workshops on the day and, once you have registered, you will be emailed a form to let us know your preference of activity. You will be able to choose from learning about fire, forensic science, using science to make an artwork, carry out your own dissection or the science of the disco. We can’t guarantee everyone’s first choices, but we will do our best. All the sessions are brilliant!
