Roedean Academy Programme

Posted in: Latest News

The Roedean Academy Programme was created in 2018, offering an academic enrichment programme for our most able Year 10 and 11 students. Nearly 50 students from Roedean, Blatchington Mill School, Longhill High School, and Peacehaven Community School are taking part in the programme this year.

Students attend classes at Roedean every Wednesday evening for seven weeks. They choose a strand out of Arts, Science and Humanities studying subjects as varied as Portuguese, Mao’s China and Medieval Ethics!

Longhill students study alongside the brightest and best of Roedean’s Year 10 and 11 students and have the opportunity to have A-Level style tutorials on subjects they have not previously studied.

This is a wonderful extra-curricular opportunity for students to have a chance to study topics outside of what they learn in lessons and push themselves academically, acquiring knowledge that may help cultivate their passion and give them a better idea of what they want to do next.
