Amex Enterprise 2019

Posted in: Latest News

On the 24th April, 15 students from Year 8 and Year 9 attended the launch of the Amex Enterprise Programme. The students had a fantastic morning meeting Katie Cook, their course leader, as well as students from other schools. They were given a tour of the stadium and even got to walk out of the tunnel onto the pitch to the tune of ‘Sussex by the Sea’!

Albion in the Community is the official charity of Brighton & Hove Albion Football Club. They are committed to using the power of football and the brand of Brighton & Hove Albion to deliver high-quality, accessible opportunities that improve the health and wellbeing, education and aspirations of our community.

One of their programmes is the Premier League Enterprise Programme which uses professional football clubs’ business models to:

  • Inspire young people to engage positively in education
  • Develop important life skills
  • Raise awareness of the world of work

Premier League Enterprise is targeted at students in secondary schools and is delivered during school time and at the American Express Community Stadium where students explore and develop key enterprise skills of: communication, confidence, financial capability, initiative, organisation, problem solving, resilience and team working.

Thank you to the Brighton & Hove Albion Football Club for such a wonderful opportunity!
