Re: Pupils are no-longer required to wear face masks in classrooms from Monday 21st February 2022, due to the decreasing level of COVID cases at Longhill High School.
As you are probably aware, on 19th January 2022 England returned to Plan A. Plan B measures were removed following the success of the booster programme. Back in January 2022 Longhill High School had a high number of positive Covid-19 cases therefore the decision was made to keep face coverings in class room as temporary measure to stop the spread of the virus.
I am writing to inform you that due to the significant decrease in the level of positive Covid-19 cases in the school community students are no longer required to wear face coverings in school setting, however they may do so if they wish.
