Letter sent to the parents of all Year 10 students about the Parent Information Evening

Re:  Year 10 Information Evening – Thursday 27 September 2007

 
I am delighted to invite you to our Year 10 Information Evening on Thursday 27 September 2007 at 6.30 pm, where you will have the opportunity to meet our new Headteacher Mr Haydn Stride.

 
You will know that this school year is a very important one for all students in Year 10 since it comprises over half of their GCSE course and leads to major decisions about their subsequent future courses and careers.

I am pleased, therefore, to invite you to the above Information Evening entitled ‘Introduction to Key Stage 4 Courses’.  This will be an informal evening and will, we hope, enable you to learn more about GCSEs, BTECs and other vocational examinations, coursework and target setting.  The evening will also give you advice on how to help students achieve the best possible results. 

It is not expected that the meeting will last longer than one hour and I look forward to seeing you on Thursday 27 September 2007.
