Dear Parent/Guardian
Re: Year 9 Heritage Skills Taster Day
When: Thursday 1 November 2007
Where: Weald and Downland Open Air Museum, Chichester
Cost: Free
A group of Year 9 students are invited to attend the Year 9 Heritage Skills being delivered by Construction Skills and the Weald and Downland Museum. The day is intended to inspire young people about Key Stage 4 courses available to them and to inform them about career opportunities.
We are funding a group of Year 9 Longhill students to attend the event so that they can take part in the hands on activities and find out what Construction involves. Students will take photographs and videos of the event and report back to their year group to inform them about option choices. Photographs and information will be used within talks for Year 9 options evening.
Clothing: Students will need to wear suitable warm clothing and wear sturdy footwear.
Lunch: Students will need to bring a packed lunch and drinks.
Times: Students register as usual at 8.20am. The minibus should return to school for 2.45pm
Places are limited so replies must be returned to Miss Rigby by Monday 29 October. The event should be a fantastic opportunity to try new skills and to gain an insight into Key Stage 4 opportunities. We hope you son/daughter enjoys the event.
Yours sincerely
