Re: Year 10 Fieldtrip for Leisure and Tourism, Retail and Business Studies students

Year 10 students are being offered the opportunity to attend a residential fieldtrip to Manchester Airport, Manchester United FC and Cadbury World as part of their Leisure and Tourism, Retail or Business Studies courses.  The trip will run from Wednesday 25 June to Friday 27 June 2008.

Whilst the fieldtrip is not compulsory it will considerably enhance students’ enjoyment and understanding of their courses.  This trip will also provide invaluable case study material for students’ exams and coursework.  It is our intention to study customer care and marketing at Manchester United Football Club and Cadbury World and look at how an airport functions.

The cost of the trip is £135 to include food, accommodation, transport, educational visits and insurance.  If you wish for your child to attend the trip please sign the form below and return it with a non-refundable deposit of £50 to the Cashier’s Office before Friday 7 December 2007.

In order to facilitate your budgeting may I also bring to your attention that there will be a compulsory Leisure and Tourism trip to Chessington World of Adventure at the end of Year 10 to collect information for their coursework.  This will cost approximately £20.
