Dear Parents/Guardians

Re:  Election of Parent Governors

We currently have a vacancy on the Governing Body.  It is very important that we have a full number of Governors to carry out their responsibilities.

All Governors are fully involved in the work of committees, links with curriculum areas, interviews for staff appointments and other school events.  Training for new Governors is available.  The term of office of all Governors is four years.


Timetable for Parent Governor election:

Friday 23 November 2007                        Nomination Form distributed to parents

Monday 3 December 2007 (9.00am)         Closing date for nominations

Friday 7 December 2007                          Candidates statements and voting slips distributed
to parents.
 
Monday 17 December 2007 (9.00am)        Closing date for return of voting slips.

If you are interested in becoming a governor, please complete the attached nomination form and return it to me c/o Longhill High School by 9.00 am on Monday 3 December 2007.
