Dear Parent/Guardian/Student
Please find enclosed an individual and generic timetable for the January 2008 exam season.
Students are reminded these are formal exams and all marks will count towards their final overall grade. The exams will be conducted under full exam conditions and therefore students need to remember the following:
• Meet promptly in the Sportshall after mentoring at 8.40am.
• All equipment must be in a see through pencil case or bag
• You must write in blue or black ink or ballpoint pen
• Calculators (if required) must be without lids and instruction leaflets
• Drinks must be water in a clear and unlabelled bottle
• Mobile phones are NOT allowed on your person, even if switched off. Secure storage of phones can be arranged for the duration of the exam.
• SILENCE at all times in the exam room
Seating plans will be displayed on the wall outside the exam office. Please check your seat position before the exam.
Students must attend all exams they have been entered for and turn up punctually in full school uniform. In the event of serious illness during exams, or other circumstances, please contact us at the earliest opportunity. The exam boards will require a doctor’s note. However, if students do not have a good reason for failing to attend an exam, the school will bill each student the cost of the missed exam. Absence from exams will be recorded on final exam certificates issued by boards.
