Year 10 Enterprise Day Venue Change

Letter sent to all parents of Year 10 students regarding the change of venue for the 2008 Enterprise Day.

11 February 2008

Dear Parent/Guardian

Re – Year 10 Enterprise Day

I am writing to inform you that the venue of the Year 10 Enterprise Day has been changed, and it will now take place on site at the school.  The students are already aware of their groups for the day, and these will remain unchanged.   Lunch arrangements and start and finish times for the event will be the same as a normal school day.

Students are still allowed to wear different clothes for the day, but I would like to reiterate our request for business dress. Many students have asked what is acceptable: school trousers and a different top is fine, the boys looked smart last year in shirts and ties and the girls in a blouse or a smart tee shirt: we will not allow jeans.

As we mentioned in the original letter, the day is compulsory and Enterprise Education is a statutory requirement for Key Stage 4 students.

We hope that the day will be fun and very worthwhile for everybody. We have a number of business people to lead the activities and the feedback from the students last year about the day was very positive. The style of learning is very different and the students have different experiences.

If you have any queries regarding the event please do not hesitate to contact me.

Yours sincerely

Mr D Stokes
Assistant Headteacher
