Year 8 Trip to Dieppe
The Modern Language Department is organising a short visit to Dieppe in France for Year 8 students in Spring 2008. This has been a very popular trip in the past and we hope that this year it will be equally successful.
It will take place on Thursday 15 May, returning on Saturday 17 May. Please ensure that these dates do not clash with any prior arrangements you may have.
The students will be staying at the Domaine des Roches, a small educational centre situated close to the centre of Dieppe. During the visit they will be able to explore the town, experience the Saturday morning market, visit Rouen and even take a coach trip to a nearby cheese farm!
The visit will be of great linguistic value to students, building on work already covered in Year 8, as they try to communicate with local people in shops, cafes and at the centre. It will also be an excellent opportunity for many of them to visit a foreign country for the first time, in the security of an organised group.
The cost of the trip will be £119.00 and this price includes travel, excursions, full board accommodation, group passport and full insurance.
If you would like your son/daughter to take part in this visit, please complete the form below and return it to the Cashiers Office by Wednesday 19 March. Places are limited to 50. In order to be fair to everybody, if more than 50 forms are handed in, names will be picked at random from a ‘hat’ and a deposit of £20.00 will then be requested from the successful students to secure their place.
