Letter sent to parents of Year 10 students

Dear Parent/Guardian

Re:  Year 10 Enterprise Day

We are holding another Year 10 Enterprise Day on Wednesday 2 July for Q Band students and Thursday 3 July for P Band students.  The last Enterprise Day in February was very successful with the students taking an active part in the day.  They were faced with new challenges and we feel they rose to these challenges and gained a lot from the day.

The theme for the July Enterprise Day is recruitment.  A number of different companies and employers are assisting us during the day.  We will be looking at the process of job applications and interviews.  During the day each student will be given a one to one mock interview with an employer.  They will need to take a copy of their CV which they have prepared in their PSHE lesson.  The rest of the day will revolve around application forms and interview skills.

The day will take place at Longhill, starting and finishing at normal school hours.
 
We would like the students to dress appropriately for an interview.  Students should wear smart trousers/skirt and a shirt & tie/blouse.  We were pleased with what the majority of students wore last time.

We are looking forward to another positive and enjoyable day.
