Letter to all parents regarding the new absence system

Dear Parent/Carers

First Day Call Attendance System

We are writing to inform you that the ‘First Day Call Attendance System’ is now in operation.  This system will inform parents when students have not arrived at school or if they arrived late.  It will also inform parents of important events taking place.

It is important that parent/carers contact the school before 9.00am as stated in the student diary to report an absence.  If a student is late they must follow the correct signing in procedures and report to Student Services.  This is to ensure that information is correct at the time of messages being sent.

The system has been introduced with the safety of children in mind but we also hope that with better information being provided to parents, student attendance and punctuality will improve.

As with any new system there may be errors made, so please inform us if this is the case.
