Letter to all Year 10 students regarding arrangements for Information Evening

Dear Parent/Carer

Re:  Year 10 Information Evening – Tuesday 23rd September 2008  6.30pm

I am delighted to invite you to our Year 10 Information Evening on Tuesday 23rd  September 2008 at 6.30 pm.

You will know that this school year is a very important one for all students in Year 10 since it comprises over half of their GCSE course and leads to major decisions about their subsequent future courses and careers.

I am pleased, therefore, to invite you to the above Information Evening entitled ‘Introduction to Key Stage 4 Courses’.  This will be an informal evening and will, we hope, enable you to learn more about GCSEs, BTECs and other vocational examinations, coursework and target setting.  The evening will also give you advice on how to help students achieve the best possible results. 

It is not expected that the meeting will last longer than one hour and I look forward to seeing you there
