Letter sent home to all parents regarding amendments to the details contained in the original Open Evening letter.

Re: Open Evening – Thursday 9 October 2008, 6.30 onwards

I am writing to apologise for the inaccuracies in the letter which was sent out earlier this week, regarding the arrangements for our Open Evening.  Please find below the amended details.

The school will be holding an Open Evening for prospective students and their parents from 6.30pm onwards on Thursday 9 October 2008.  To enable staff to prepare for the evening, the school will close early on Thursday 9 October 2008.  At the end of Period 4 students will return to their mentors for registration at 12.45pm and then they will be dismissed at approximately 1pm.  Packed lunch will be available for those students who require it.

School will restart at 9.15am on Friday 10 October 2008 for registration with their mentors and then students will go to Period 2.

Unfortunately the normal school buses will not be available on Thursday lunchtime. Buses will be available for Friday morning, if students wish to come at the normal time, but school will not start until 9.15am.

If your son/daughter is involved in helping on the evening, permission from you will need to be written in their diary.  Helpers will be allowed to leave the school at 7.30 pm when the Headteacher’s final talk begins.
