Re: Year 9 Fieldtrip to Swanage, Dorset - Monday 23-Friday 27 February 2009
Year 9 students are being offered the opportunity to attend a residential fieldtrip to Swanage in Dorset as part of their Geographical Studies.
Whilst the fieldtrip is not compulsory it will considerably enhance their enjoyment and understanding of Geographical skills and techniques. It is our intention to study coastal processes, tourism, conservation and management of sensitive areas and land use in Dorchester. Students attending the trip will also be offered the opportunity to take part in swimming, abseiling and other indoor and outdoor activities.
The cost of the trip is £225 to include food, accommodation, transport, educational visits, swimming and abseiling. Places are limited, so if you wish for your child to attend the trip please sign the form below and return it with a non-refundable deposit of £50 to the Cashiers Office before Monday 12 January 2009.
There will be assisted places available for students who are eligible. If you would like to apply for an assisted place, please indicate on the reply slip below.
In the event of us receiving more than 30 applications, a random draw will take place to determine which students will be in attendance. In this instance, unsuccessful applicants will receive a full refund of their initial £50 deposit.
