Brighton & Hove Careers Event at Brighton Racecourse – 3 & 4 November 2009
A Careers Event is on at the Brighton Racecourse and Longhill have reserved places for Year 9 and 11 students on the following dates.
Year 9 students on Tuesday 3 November between 9.15am and 1.15pm.
Science C and D groups will depart straight after registration at 8.40am and return by 11am
Science groups A and B will depart school at 11am and return by 1.15pm
Year 11 students on Wednesday 4 November between 8.40am and 1.15pm.
P band meet buses in school car park at 8.40 and return by 10.45am.
Q band meet buses in school car park at 11am and return by 1.15pm.
The event is basically a ‘hands on’ Careers fair with a great deal of interactive technology and practical activities. The action packed stands include:
Construction, Engineering & Transport Uniformed Services
Science & Technology Retail
Environment & Land Based Enterprise
Business & Finance Hospitality, Travel, and Tourism
Manufacturing & Product Design Information Technology
Hair & Beauty Health & Social Care
Charities & Social Enterprise Sports & Leisure
Creative, Media & Performing Arts
There is also information about the range of courses available at 14+ and 16+ at local schools and colleges.
The groups will be transported to and from the event by coach and there will be no cost.
