A Guide to Year 8 Reports – 2009-2010
I have pleasure in enclosing the first report for your son/daughter in Year 8.
As in previous years, we have included information about students’ attitudes to learning for classwork, homework and behaviour and current performance in terms of National Curriculum levels. The attached sheet outlines the criteria that have been used to assess the students’ attitudes to learning and an explanation of the grades.
Once again we have included the parent appointment request column. If you see a # please ensure contact is made with the teacher through the forthcoming Parents Evening or a phone call.
If you do have any concerns and would like an opportunity to discuss the report in more detail with the subject teacher(s) concerned, or see a #, there is a Parents Evening for Year 8 students on Thursday
3 December 2009 between 5.00pm and 8.00pm. Please see enclosed information.
Also enclosed with this report is an Attendance Certificate – Please inform us, in writing, of the reason for the absence if an ‘N’ is recorded indicating an unauthorised absence.
Please can we ask you to sign your son/daughter’s school diary, in the week beginning 30 November, to confirm that you have received the report.
