Re: Year 8 Geography Fieldwork February 2010
As part of the Geography Curriculum, Year 8 students will be taken to Cuckmere Haven to study river and coastal processes. The data and information they collect will allow them to complete a National Curriculum assessment exercise.
On the day of the trip, clothing appropriate for this time of year should be worn, including suitable footwear to walk in and clothing to keep them dry. We will be outside for most of the day and they need to be warm and dry.
Students will be travelling by coach, leaving the school at 9.15am and returning by 2.35pm. As such they will also need to bring their own drinks and a packed lunch.
The dates of the fieldtrips are as follows
8O, 8W & 8R Monday 8 February
8K, 8T & 8M Tuesday 9 February
8S, 8E & 8A Wednesday 24 February
The school is seeking a voluntary contribution of £5.00 for the trip and payment will need to be given to Mrs Hazell in the Finance Office by Wednesday 27 January. Please complete and return the reply slip below giving your permission for your son/daughter to go on the trip.
