Dear Parents/carers
As you may be aware Year 11 students are given the privilege of wearing a slightly different uniform, which is a plain black v-neck jumper and a black polo shirt both with school logo.
In previous years we had considerable problems with students wearing inappropriate black jumpers/cardigans that did not conform to what is described in the school uniform guidelines.
Students will not be allowed to wear any other style of jumper or polo shirt.
To avoid these problems the school orders the school v-neck black jumpers with school logo and polo shirt for all Year 11 students to purchase. These will be available during July.
Students will not be permitted to wear this new uniform until the beginning of September.
May I also take this opportunity to remind you again that school trousers must be plain smart black trousers. Students are not allowed to wear jeans or any other casual or fashion trouser. Skirts should be plain black school skirts of an appropriate, decent length. We do need your support with this issue.
Can I therefore ask you to complete the enclosed order form and return it to the school with payment by Friday 28 May 2010. Please make cheques payable to Longhill High School.
