Re: Year 11 Geography Field Trip to Lewes – Friday 8 October 2010
The Geography Department will be taking Year 11 students to Lewes on Friday 8 October to complete compulsory fieldwork activities that will contribute towards your son/daughter’s controlled assessment, which is worth 15% of the final GCSE grade.
We will travel to Lewes via coach and will leave Longhill at 9.00am and return to the school by 2.45pm. The day will include a range of outdoor activities and your son/daughter will be required to wear full school uniform. They should also bring a waterproof coat in case of wet weather. It is advised that students bring a packed lunch or money with which to purchase lunch. Please note that students will not have the opportunity to purchase any food before our lunch break.
We are asking for a voluntary contribution of £5.50 to cover the cost of transport. Please complete the slip below and return it with payment to the Cashier’s Office by Friday
1 October 2010.
